Overview
SUNY—Geneseo is a public institution that was founded in 1871. Its setting is rural, and the campus size is 220 acres. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar. SUNY—Geneseos ranking in the 2024 edition of Best Colleges is Regional Universities North, #12. Geneseo is a highly selective, residential liberal arts college located in one of the most beautiful villages in upstate New York. The college attracts some of the most talented students from New York and beyond and is widely regarded as a public counterpart to the small, selective, private liberal arts college.
