The University will send email updates for pending documents, pending information and evaluation decisions directly to the Student or to the Agency - AS AND WHEN AN UPDATE OR A DECISION IS AVAILALE. Student must keep Agents informed of any such emails.

Undergraduate: Applicants do not need to pay for the Application fee again. However, to defer their admission, they will need to submit their intent to enroll, attend the orientation, and pay the enrollment deposit. The deposit is non-refundable and counts towards the tuition. If the deferral request is approved and students decide to attend SJSU for the next academic term, they won’t have to pay the enrollment deposit again. Deferral requests should be sent directly to Undergraduate Admissions at admissions@sjsu.edu Graduate The deferral request form, which is available on https://www.sjsu.edu/admissions/graduate/been-admitted/deferral-information.php, must be submitted to make a formal deferral request. Deferral request can only be submitted for selective programs refer the below given link for more information. Students can defer the application only if they have received admission. If the graduate program requires mandatory intent to enroll, the students must complete the intent to enroll process to successfully defer the admission. If the deferral request is approved and the enrollment deposit is paid, the future term enrollment deposit will be waived. Please note that the decision to allow deferral is at the discretion of the department.
