Kutztown University (KU) is a public university located in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. It is one of 14 schools that comprise the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and is located just 2 hours from New York City and 1 1/2 hours from Philadelphia by public transportation.Founded in 1866, KU is a modern, comprehensive institution that enrolls over 8,500 full and part-time, undergraduate and Graduate students. Kutztown offers some 100 academic areas of study (major and minor programs) as well as 18 Graduate degree programs.
