Bangor University is a public research university in Bangor, Gwynedd, Wales. It was established by Royal Charter in 1885 as the University College of North Wales, and in 1893 became one of the founding institutions of the federal University of Wales
Regional / National Accreditation
Bangor University does not have a single "national accreditation" in the same way an organization might, but many of its individual degree programs are accredited by professional and statutory bodies, which is a common system in the UK
Professional Accreditation
Professional accreditations are awarded on a course-by-course basis and ensure that specific degrees meet the standards of a particular profession, such as those for accountants (ACCA, CIMA), engineers (IET), and nurses (NMC)
